Our mission at GentleFold Laundry is to help seniors remain independent longer by removing one of the most physically demanding household chores from their routine. Laundry may seem simple, but lifting baskets, changing linens, folding clothes, and keeping up with weekly loads can become exhausting or even unsafe over time.
GentleFold was created to provide dependable, respectful laundry care that helps seniors enjoy clean clothes, fresh linens, and one less thing to worry about. Our goal is to support independence, protect dignity, and give families peace of mind knowing their loved one has reliable help with a task that never stops piling up.
How It Works
Step 1:
Fill out the form above with your information, and Alison will reach out to you directly to confirm service availability, answer questions, and explain how GentleFold works.
Step 2:
Clients receive a GentleFold laundry bag to use for their service. We’ll let you know the pickup day and time available for your area, so you always know when to expect us.
Step 3:
Your laundry is washed, dried, and folded with care from start to finish. We keep your items together, follow your laundry preferences when possible, and return everything fresh, clean, and neatly folded so it is easy to put away.
Step 4:
Enjoy one less chore! Your clean laundry is returned fresh, folded, and ready to put away. No heavy baskets, no long laundry day, and no wondering when it will get done. Just one less household task on your mind.
Hi, I'm Alison!
Born and raised here in San Antonio (Churchill Graduate) and still very much here. 😁 For 10 years I worked as an EMT with Acadian Ambulance running 911 calls for Bexar County. That job taught me a lot about people, especially seniors, and what it really means to show up for someone when they need it most.
After working in EMS, I spent 4 years with Cintas in the commercial laundry industry, working my way from route assistant all the way to supervising 12 routes. So when I say I know laundry, I mean it.
GentleFold came out of watching people I love get worn down by the small stuff; the heavy baskets, the trips to the laundry room, the things that seem minor until they aren't. I built this service for the seniors in our community who deserve better, and for the families who quietly worry about them.
When I show up at your door, you're not getting an app, a stranger, or a call center. You're getting me! A real person from this city who built this because it matters.
And yes, that's me enjoying the Pearl in downtown San Antonio.

Are there any hidden fees?
No. GentleFold keeps pricing simple and transparent. You pay the per-bag service charge plus any applicable taxes. If anything outside of standard laundry service is needed, we’ll always communicate with you first so there are no surprises.
